Biography of Vasiliy Kulikov: priest, composer, pianist

Entered Perm Musical College with the specialization in piano and composition

1979-1983        

Was studying at Perm Musical College. His teacher of piano was Dina Leonidovna Orlova, and Perm composer Mikhail Alekseyevich Kozlov guided him in studying composition. During the years of study at the College, V. Kulikov composed “Sonata for violin and piano in two parts”, “Sphinxes. The Music of Earth and Heaven” –piano cycle in 7 parts, the vocal cycle on I. Bunin’s verses in three parts, sketches for string quartet, piano sonatas. The professional development of V. Kulikov was greatly influenced by the music of I.S. Bach, L.van Beethoven, P.I. Tchaikovsky, M.P. Mussorgsky, S.V. Rachmaninov, A.N. Scriabin, S.S. Prokofyev, D.D. Shostakovich, A. Hinaster, K. Penderetsky, and particularly O. Messian.

At the same period the first musical records were made in Perm regional radio under the initiative of musicologist Galina Batalina. The final part of Sonata №2 for piano of S. Prokofyev, and the own compositions of V. Kulikov: “Sphinxes. The Music of Earth and Heaven” –piano cycle, the vocal cycle on I. Bunin’s verses, Sonata for violin and piano were broadcast.

February, 1982                

Vasiliy Kulikov as a member of chamber trio (violin, cello, and piano) took part in the contest of chamber groups of the Urals and Volga regions in Yekaterinburg and became prize winner for performing the compositions of Ya. Sibelius, I. Haydn, M.I. Glinka

May, 1983             

He graduated from Perm Musical College on the specialization of piano and composition. As his final work he produced the two-parts concerto in which he performed both as a composer and a pianist. The soloists of Perm Philharmonic Society and Perm Academic Opera House participated in the concert.

 

July, 1983

 

Vasiliy Kulikov entered the composition department of Moscow State Conservatoire named after P.I. Tchaikovsky, the faculty of theory and composition, the class of famous composer, professor Roman Semionovich Ledeniov. He studied orchestration under the supervision of an eminent composer Yuri Markovich Butsko. He was on good professional terms with the legendary contemporary pianist Victor Merzhanov, the head of the piano department, where the music of V. Kulikov was often played.

1983-1988

 

He optionally studied piano and organ at the Conservatory. His teachers were the prize winner of F.Chopin’s competition, docent Yu.A. Muravliov (piano) and professor L.I. Royzman (organ). V. Kulikov also communicated with an outstanding Russian composer Alexander Nemtin. While studying for 5 years at Moscow State Conservatoire named after P.I. Tchaikovsky, Vasiliy Kulikov annually gave concerts in Perm, mainly in the concert hall of Perm Musical College.

He played the piano music of I.S. Bach, I. Haydn, L.van Beethoven, F. Chopin S.V. Rachmaninov, D.D. Shostakovich, and also presented his own new compositions for piano, for violin and piano, vocal cycles for mezzo-soprano, baritone and piano, and music for big variety chorus. The chorus of Perm Musical College, soloists of Moscow State Philharmonic and of “Moskontzert” (Moscow Concert) has always participated in the concerts.

December, 1984

 

While being the 2nd year student of Moscow State Conservatoire, Vasiliy Kulikov composed his first works for big variety choir a’cappella “White Birch” on the verses of a Komi-Perm poet S. Karavaev, and the arrangement of Komi-Perm folk song “Oh, Grey Horse is Running…”, op.5. The composition department of Moscow Conservatoire recommended the scientific research library of Moscow State Conservatoire named after S.I. Taneyev to accept the works of V. Kulikov into its fund as “the blueprint compositions of contemporary choir art”. Since that time the successful creative collaboration of Vasiliy Kulikov with the choir of Perm Musical College has started.

For 24 years the choir has annually been presenting his compositions in different musical festivals, contests and choir forums. Several generations of talented choir conductors have been brought up, performing the compositions of Vasiliy Kulikov. The work of the big variety choir of Perm Musical College directed by the honored culturelogist of the Russian Federation Marina Gennadievna Oblyazova was highly esteemed by the composer who included the records of the choir, performing his compositions, into his first CD.

1987

 

All-Union publishers “Music” (Moscow, Russia) under the editorship of Nikolay Kopchensky issued the first piano compositions of V. Kulikov: two parts of the piano cycle “Sphinxes. Music of the Earth and Heaven”, op 1

November 30, 1987

 

While being the 5th year student of Moscow State Conservatoire, Vasiliy Kulikov presented his 2 parts recital in the White Hall of Moscow Conservatoire. His new piano, violin and vocal compositions were performed by the student of the vocal faculty of Moscow State Conservatoire Nicolai Reshetnyak, by the soloist of Moscow Philharmonic, Honored Artist of Russia Alexander Chernov. The concert gave a start to the creative friendship with the outstanding violinist Alexander Chernov.

December, 1987

 

All-Union Publishers “Soviet Composer” (Moscow) decided to edit “Preludes and Fugues in D-minor” op. 8 № 2 for piano by Vasiliy Kulikov as exemplary modern polyphonic composition.

May, 1988

 

His “Fantasia” for piano on the Komi-Perm folk song “Pass by, my Sorrowful Time” op.4 was accepted into “Golden Fund” of Moscow radio.

June, 1998

 

V. Kulikov graduated from the composition department of Moscow State Conservatoire named after P.I. Tchaikovsky, the faculty of theory and composition with the diploma work “Scherzo” for big symphony orchestra, op.11.

1988-1991

 

On returning back to Perm (Russia), he was busy with composer’s, concert and teaching activity. V.Kulikov gave the course of special piano and composition in Perm music school № 8.

1989

 

In Perm Vasiliy Kulikov created a big composition for grand combined chores a’cappella: chores concert № 2 “Meet me, Inva-Sai” op.12, consisting of four parts to the verses of Komi-Perm poet Vasiliy Klimov. In this composition Kulikov, leaning on Russian church singing and Komi-Perm folklore, reached massive national coloristic chores sounding of a grand orchestra scale.

1989-1990

 

He was teaching piano at the department of music in Perm State Teachers’ Training Institute, and also headed the course of orchestrating at the department of folk instruments in Perm State Institute of Culture.

February, 1990

 

Vasiliy Kulikov created one of his most characteristic compositions – Icon in Sounds “The Cry of Saint Equal to the Apostles Maria Magdalina near the Cross of our Lord Jesus Christ on Calvary” for piano, op.13. While composing it, V.Kulikov started working out quite a new and unique genre in classical music: musical iconography – “Icons in Sounds”

Vasiliy Kulikov as a representative of Perm eparchy of Moscow Patriarchate took part in the first All-Church Congress of Orthodox youth in Moscow.

1991-2001

 

His compositions were recorded on Perm radio and television; he performed his concerts in Moscow, Syktyvkar, Kudymkar, Tallinn, and Yekaterinburg.

In Moscow, in the All-Union House of Composers, at the amalgamated conference of Secretariat and the Board of Russia Composers Union, Vasiliy Kulikov was affiliated into the Russia Union of Composers

October 27, 1994

 

In Moscow on the invitation of Hungarian Center of Culture and Science a recital of piano music performed by Kulikov as the first national Komi-Perm pianist and composer was held in the concert hall of Hungarian Embassy, devoted to the day of Finno-Ugric kinship. At the recital the music of I.-S. Bach, F. Busoni, F. Schubert, F. List, B. Bartok, and V. Kulikov were played.

February-June, 1995

 

A series of the concerts “The Triumph of the Orthodoxy” were successfully performed both in Perm Musical College and in Moscow, in the musical hall “Shuvalova’s House” and the church of St. Varvara, which became quite an important event in the activity of Kulikov. He also had his first experience of conducting a symphony orchestra with the one of Perm Musical College, which played Icon in Sounds for violin and orchestra “Crucifixion and Ascension of our Lord Jesus Christ”, op.14 (the first performance).

As a national Komi-Perm composer and pianist, V. Kulikov was invited to perform recitals at World festivals of Finno-Ugric Folks in Kudymkar, Yoshkar-Ola, Syktyvkar (Komi-Perm Autonomous Area, Republic Maryi-El, Komi Republic)

He has been working at the symphonic frescoes “Perm the Orthodox”, Icons in Sounds in 3 parts: “The Cry of the Most Holy Mother of God on Calvary”, “St. Stephan Velikopermskiy, Equal to the Apostles”, “The Battle of Stephan Velikopermskiy with Supreme Shaman”, op.16

Vasiliy Kulikov as a composer, pianist, conductor and Orthodox preacher performed his recital devoted to the 600-anniversary of the blessed death of Stephan Velikopermskiy. The grand chores of Perm Musical College, soloists and the symphonic orchestra of Perm Academic Opera House named after Tchaikovsky (Perm, Culture and Business Center) took part in the concert.

He was awarded a grand of the president of Russia in the sphere of culture and arts - 1996.

1996-2000

 

He was preparing the edition of the first compact disk of his compositions for piano, chorus, vocal, violin and orchestra.

December, 1997

 

On December 13, in Perm All Holy-Trinity Cathedral during the Divine Liturgy, Vasiliy Kulikov was imposed a deacon, and in a week, on December 21 – a priest of Russian Orthodox Church of Moscow Patriarchate.

1997-2001

 

It was the beginning of his service as a priest at the All Saints Church in Perm, Russian Orthodox Church of Moscow Patriarchate. It also was the time of colossal intensive spiritual and creative work: daily morning and evening services on church holidays, teaching in parochial school, doing occasional religious rites, and confession of hundreds of parish combining with successful creative, concert and missionary activity. The circle of spiritual meetings, the number of concert programs and concert halls were enlarged up to the enormous scale. Perm regional radio and television constantly broadcast the concert performances and spiritual programs of Father Vasiliy.

November, 1998

 

In the contest of composer’s art dedicated to the 275th anniversary of Perm, two large compositions of Vasiliy Kulikov, the priest of All Saints Church of Perm, were awarded the highest prizes – the symphonic frescoes “Perm the Orthodox” and the Concert for chorus N 2 “Meet me, Inva-Sai”. They symbolize the main trends of the composer’s searching – the Christian subjects and Komi-Perm folklore. At the concert of laureates of the contest the Symphonic frescoes “Perm the Orthodox” were performed, and it became a real sensation for a wide public, that the Orthodox priest Vasiliy Kulikov performed as a conductor of the symphony orchestra: a splendid apparition of a new edge of the Orthodox missionary.

October, 2000

 

As an Orthodox priest, composer, pianist and conductor, Vasiliy Kulikov took part in the All-Russia Conference of the Orthodox Missionary (Syktyvkar, Komi Republic). Father Vasiliy recalls the meeting with Eminent Pitirim, the Bishop of Syktyvkar and Vorkuta, and Eminent Zosima, the Bishop of Elista and Kalmykia with a special gratitude.

February, 2001

 

The Ural Electronic Plant (Yekaterinburg) issued the first CD of V. Kulikov with the recordings of his piano, chorus, vocal, and orchestral compositions. The disk reflected the piano and conductor art of Vasiliy Kulikov.

March 24, 2001 – July 2, 2007

 

The beginning of massive cycle consisting of 10 broadcasts of Vasiliy Kulikov at “Radio Russia”(Moscow) in the program of famous political observer Natalia Bekhtina “From the First Person”. The director general of the State Radio Broadcasting Company “Radio Russia” A.V. Abakumov stressed that the participation of Father Vasiliy in the social and political program “From the First Person” – is not just preaching, but a serious and insightful conversation of the necessity of soul perfection, it is a conversation about love and goodness, truth and justness, it is also talking of art, the high role of music in people’s life, it is an example of the true enlightenment. And what’s more important, the conversations of Father Vasiliy have caused sincere response with the many millions audience of “Radio Russia”

March, 2001 – April, October, December

 

Vasiliy Kulikov made his first missionary trips with concerts of piano music to the cities of Germany: Munich, Augsburg, Ottoboiren, Altshausen, Kempten, Wigratsbad, Aihstetten, Lindau (Bavaria). He met with the famous composer Arvo Pärt (Berlin).

May-September, 2002

 

In Perm he performed the series of 14 piano concerts at work-shop of a tuner-restorer, a member of International Association “Europiano” N.S. Gagarin. One of the most successful results of the team-work was “the second life” of an antiquarian piano “C. Geotze”.

January, 2003

 

Kulikov was invited to star in 4-parts documentary “Mum”, directed by the Prize Winner of the State Reward of Russia Anatoliy Baluev, the owner of six “Grand-Pres” of International festivals of documentary (“Uraltelefilm”, Yekaterinburg). Simultaneously he is collaborating with TV companies “T7” and “Uralinform TV” (Perm).

March 6, 2003

 

Vasiliy Kulikov’s recital called “Spirituality and Music” had great success. The concert was presented by a musicologist, an honored culturologist of the Russian Federation Galina Vasilevna Batalina. He performed the music by J. Haydn, S. Rachmaninov, V. Kulikov, Y. Myrtseva (Perm, The hall of the Regional Municipal Library).

June 30, 2003

 

On the invitation of the film-maker A. Baluev, Vasiliy Kulikov visited Yekaterinburg, where in the regional “House of Cinema” he took part in the presentation and first demonstration of the documentary film “Mum” (“Uraltelefilm”, 2003). The film received high appraisal from the society. TV and press critics linked the success of the film with the staring of the preacher and composer Vasiliy Kulikov. The film was highly recognised at the International festivals of documentary films in Holland, Germany and Italy.

V. Kulikov was busy preparing for the editing of his piano and symphonic compositions: Suite for piano in 4 parts “Quartorium”, op.3; Symphonic piece “Saint Archangel Michael”, Icon in sounds for a grand symphony orchestra, op.11; Symphonic fresco “Perm the Orthodox”, Icons in sounds in 4 parts for small symphony orchestra, op.16

Vasiliy Kulikov received an official invitation for musical and preaching activity in Germany.

February 24, 2004

 

V. Kulikov started his spiritual, missionary and musical activity in Germany. He is serving in German Berlin Eparchy of Moscow Patriarchate, works with the parish in Berlin, Frankfurt upon Main, Rostock, and Schwerin, gives concerts in Berlin (Land Brandenburg).

March-April, 2004

 

Berlin Television invited Vasiliy Kulikov to participate in two publicistic programmes “Important People of Europe”, which had great public response and were transmitted to 24 countries worldwide including those of Europe, the Middle East, America and Canada. (Berlin, European Television, studio RTVI).

May 9, 2004

 

In Berlin Cathedral Vasiliy Kulikov got an invitation from his Eminence Evgeniy, archbishop Vereiskiy, the rector of Moscow Orthodox Theological Seminary and Academy to perform master-classes and piano concerts for the students of Moscow seminary and academy. Two successful trips were made, and the concerts were held inside the famous Holy Trinity St. Sergius Lavra (November 2005, February 2006, Church-archeological studio).

The beginning of prominent spiritual and creative collaboration of Vasiliy Kulikov with the doctor of sociology, manager madam Elke Melz and the Ukrainian artist Oleg Chekotun (Rostock, Land Mecklenburg –Vorpommern).

2005-2008

 

Vasiliy Kulikov begins extremely successful intensive concert and spiritual enlightening activity in the concert halls, churches, sanatoriums, old castles of Germany. With great success he is having numerous concerts in such well-known halls of Europe as “Gewandhaus” in Leipzig, “Konzerthaus” in Berlin, “Kammermusicsaal” in the House of Beethoven in Bonn, concert hall “Die Glocke” in Bremen, “Gasteig” in Munich and also in many other cities of Germany, Belgium, Russia, Belorussia. Every performance of V. Kulikov is accompanied with the art of creative wording of madam Elke Melz and the exhibitions of paintings, orthodox icons of the Ukrainian painter, and the prize winner of international designer competitions Oleg Chekotun.

In the Organ Hall in Perm (Russia) a recital of Vasiliy Kulikov “Spirituality and Music” was held with great success. The concert was conducted by the musicologist, honored culturologist of the Russian Federation Galina Vasilyevna Batalina. The music by S.V. Rachmaninov, V. Kulikov, Y.Myrtseva was performed. The piano, vocal, organ and choral compositions were played. The Grand chorus of Perm Musical College, students and teachers of Perm Institute of Culture, soloists of Perm Academic Opera House took part in the concert.

“Russian Center for Children, Youth and Adults” was founded in Rostock (Land Mecklenburg – Vorpommern) on the blessing of the priest Vasiliy Kulikov. Oleg Chekotun became the president of the center, the deputy president – doctor of sociology Elke Melz. Among the highest and the most noble goals of the Center for the glory of Russia and the Holly Orthodoxy were proclaimed the preaching of Orthodoxy in Germany with the help of arts (painting and music); enlightening the Germans through Russian culture; strengthening the friendship, understanding and harmony between Russian and German people.

In the town of Pinsk (the republic of Belorussia) in the concert hall “Barameush”, a concert of Vasiliy Kulikov was organized, which was of great success. The music of L. van Beethoven, F. Schubert, F. Chopin, A.N. Skryabin and V. Kulikov was performed. It was possible to organize the visit of Pinsk and to hold a concert thanks to the outstanding contemporary priest of mitre Mikhail (Pinchuk), the senior priest of the most beautiful cathedral in Belorussia with the altar to the Saint great mature Feodor Tyron. Father Vasiliy visited the Tumulus of Military Glory in Minsk, the Memorial Hatyn, and the monastery of St Ephrosinia of Polotsk in the town of Polotsk.

September, 2005

 

The television of Rostock (Land Mecklenburg –Vorpommern) broadcast a program “The Country and the People” about the activities of “Russian Center for Children, Youth and Adults”. The reason of the program was the concert of Vasiliy Kulikov in the “Baroque Hall”, concert hall of Rostock that was held on May 27, 2005. In the form of captivating talk, an interview was taken from the president of the Center Oleg Chekotun, the deputy president madam Elke Melz, and the priest Vasiliy Kulikov.

On the radio broadcast between the radio stations of “Radio Bavaria” (Munich) and “Northern Germany Radio” (Rostock) there was an interview with Vasiliy Kulikov about his musical and spiritual activities. Great interest was caused by his work as a composer, especially by the converting the national, Komi-Perm melodic into classical forms.

In the “Center of Russian Culture” of Munich (Land Bavaria) there was a recital of V. Kulikov called “The Travelling into the World of Christmas Music”. Madam Elke Melz told the audience about the peculiarities of spending Christmas Time, Great Lent and The Holly Easter in Russia.

On the Holiday “Epiphany of out Lord” in Perm (Russia) in the Grand Hall of the Culture and Business Center, the recital of Vasiliy Kulikov “The Music of the Earth and Heaven” took place with the collaboration of the musicologist, honored culturologist of the Russian Federation Galina Vasilyevna Batalina. The Grand chorus of Perm Musical College participated in the concert.

In Leipzig (Land Saxony) in the Chamber Hall Piano Centre "Bechstein" two successful performances of V. Kulikov were held. The concert program included the music of I.S Bach, D. Scarlatti, J. Haydn, F. Chopin, F. List, C. Debussy, and V. Kulikov.

March 16, 2006

 

In the frames of the International Festival of Contemporary Classical Music Vasiliy Kulikov performed a piano concert in Gent (Belgium). He played the music of P.I. Tchaikovsky, S.V. Rachmaninov, and V. Kulikov. Vasiliy Kulikov visited the world famous “Altar of Gent” of Jan van Eik.

After successful performance of piano concert in the concert hall of the clinic “Silver Mill” in Plau am See (Land Mecklenburg –Vorpommern), Vasiliy Kulikov was officially invited by the chairman of the Land Saxony-Anchalt Council Mr. Lotar Finzelberg to hold some concerts in Gentian (Land Saxony-Anchalt).

November 18, 2006

 

On the invitation of Mr. Lotar Finzelberg, the chairman of the Land Saxony-Anchalt Council, Vasiliy Kulikov performed piano concert in Plenarsaal of Gentian (Saxony-Anchalt) with great success. After the concert Vasiliy Kulikov exclaimed in delight: “What an astonishing and extraordinary audience! It’s the first place in Germany where I’m so kindly and enthusiastically treated!”

Vasiliy Kulikov continued his series of concerts in Gentian (Saxony-Anchalt). He successfully performed two recitals: “Music of Joy to the Spring Coming” and “Romantic Evening with the Music of Chopin”.

In the town of Allershagen (Germany, Land Mecklenburg –Vorpommern) , Vasiliy Kulikov composed Icon in Sounds for piano “All Holy Trinity – Icon of St. Andrey Rublev. Eternal Joy, Happiness and Peace. God is Love”, op.17

On the Holiday of All Holy Trinity in German town Ahrenshoop (Land Mecklenburg –Vorpommern) the premiere of the Icon in Sounds “All Holy Trinity – Icon of St. Andrey Rublev. Eternal Joy, Happiness and Peace. God is Love”, op.17 was performed.

A series of three concerts was held in the ancient castle "Schloss K", in the town of Klein Kussewitz (Land Mecklenburg –Vorpommern), where the music of I.-S. Bach, D. Scarlatti, L.van Beethoven, F. Schubert, F. Chopin, P.I. Tchaikovsky and V. Kulikov were played.

On the Holiday “Epiphany of out Lord” a recital called “Silver Snowstorm” was held in Perm (Russia), in the hall of Perm Academic Opera House. The concert was presented by the Doctor of sociology and manager Elke Melz. Before the second part of the concert she read an extract from “The Ode to Joy” by F. Schiller. The music of I.-S. Bach, F. Chopin, L.van Beethoven was performed. The first performances of V.Kulikov’s compositions for piano: “Icon in Sounds St Tsar Family, Great Martyr Tsar Nikolai II, Tsarina Alexandra, Cesarevitch Aleksey, Great Princesses Olga, Tatyana, Maria, Anastasia and their Loyal Servants and Friends Before the Martyr Feat in the House of Ipatiev in Yekaterinburg” op. 18, “The Victory of St Archangel Mikhail Over Hell” op. 19, “All Holy Trinity – Icon of St. Andrey Rublev. Eternal Joy, Happiness and Peace. God is Love”, op.17 were played with tremendous success.

In the famous concert hall “Kammermusiksaal” in Bonn, in the House of Beethoven the recital, poetically called “Under the Starry Sky of Appassionata” was held, where the compositions of I.-S. Bach, F. Chopin, L.van Beethoven and P.I. Tchaikovsky were performed. At the end of the concert the composer played an encore four parts from the ballet “The Nutcracker” for piano and percussion instruments arranged by V.Kulikov.

In Bremen concert hall "Die Glocke" the concert called “The Diamonds of Classical Music. The Compositions of F. Chopin” was performed. The grateful audience was inspired by the concert and also by five magnificent pieces played an encore: five parts from the ballet “The Nutcracker” by P.I. Tchaikovsky for piano and percussion instruments.

In Schwerin, the capital of Land Mecklenburg –Vorpommern there was a recital of piano music called “The Diamonds of Classical Music. The Compositions of F. Chopin” in the regally beautiful throne-room of an ancient castle. After the concert the audience gave V.Kulikov a standing ovation, and Maestro played an encore twice: he performed “The Waltz of Flowers” and “The March” from the ballet “The Nutcracker” by P.I. Tchaikovsky in his own arrangement.

In Munster (Land Nordrein – Westfallen), the piano program of V.Kulikov called “The Diamonds of Romantic and Impressionistic Music. The Compositions of C. Debussy and F. Chopin” was performed with great success in the crown concert hall Festsaal des Erbdrostenhofes.

V.Kulikov performed the piano program “The Diamonds of Romantic Music. The Compositions of F. Chopin” in the concert hall Spiegelsaal der Harmoniе in Bamberg (Land Bavaria) with extraordinary success.

In the town of Köthen (Land Saxony), where I.-S. Bach, great German composer had been living for six years, V.Kulikov finished his fourth concert season in Germany with the piano program “The Pearls of Classical Music. The Compositions of I.-S. Bach, F.Schubert F. Chopin.” Being grateful for the enthusiastic reception of the public, Maestro placed five Orthodox icons by the grand piano and performed some extra pieces – two parts from his Concert Suite “Russian Icon Wall”, Icons in Sounds “St. Tsar Family, Great Martyr Tsar Nikolai II, Tsarina Alexandra, Cesarevitch Aleksey, Great Princesses Olga, Tatyana, Maria, Anastasia and their Loyal Servants and Friends Before the Martyr Feat in the House of Ipatiev in Yekaterinburg” op. 18, “The Victory of St Archangel Mikhail Over Hell” op. 19. The enthusiastic public gave the presenter of the program madam Elke Melz, and the pianist and composer V.Kulikov a standing ovation.

A new CD of V.Kulikov “The Eternal Music of Love” was issued, based on the recordings of the concert given in Perm (Russia) on January 19, 2008. The music of I.S. Bach, F. Chopin, L.van Beethoven and V.Kulikov was included into the disk.

Due to the invitation of Musical Association of Concert Hall Schönbergsaal in Traun, the first successful performance of V.Kulikov in Austria was organized. In the concert program “The Captivating Beauty of Tchaikovsky’s Music” the musician performed piano cycle of P.I. Tchaikovsky “The Seasons”, op.37 and the Concert Suite of twelve parts in the transcription of V.Kulikov for piano and percussion instruments from the ballet “The Nutcracker”, op. 71. The orchestra “The Russian Peal”, conducted by V.Kulikov took part in the concert.
